ABOUT YUMIKO YOSHIOKA
Yumiko Yoshioka is a dancer, choreographer, teacher, art director based in Berlin since 1988. In the early seventies and eighties, Yumiko was member of the first Japanese women's Butoh dance company, ARIADONE. In 1978, she performed with Ko Murobushi and Carlotta Ikeda in " Le Dernier Eden " (in Paris), the first Butoh performance to be seen outside of Japan. From 1988 to 1994, she was an active member of German/Japanese dance theater company “tatoeba - THEATRE DANSE GROTESQUE” with Minako Seki and delta RA'i.
In 1995, Yumiko founded the art-formation group TEN PEN CHii art labor with visual artist Joaxhim Manger (Germany) and music composer Zam Johnson (USA). She researches the interactivity between dance, space and visual art, exploring new zones in body works and performing arts.
Besides touring internationally with her performances, collaborations and workshops, Yumiko is, along with delta RA’ I, the artistic director of “eX...it !” (Dance and Butoh Exchange Research Project), gathering more than 100 artists and dance students from all over the world.
CONTEMPORARY DANCE WORKSHOP - with Laure Dupont (Switzerland) - 2017

Around 40 participants attended Laure’s workshop hosted in the large Art & Movement Dance School’s studio, before seeing her perform in LABA, a solo dance piece she presented with YAZAN at KED Beirut (2 full houses). Both workshop and performance were free of charge, with the support of the Swiss Embassy.
About LAURE DUPONT
Laure Dupont is a dance graduate from Mudras Bejart’s school in Lausanne, and the main muse and soloist of famous Spanish choreographer Cisco Aznar with which she performed in many operas houses in the world. She's been collaborating as well since 2012 with the dance company Mladha/théâtre.She founded the Bertha Company in 2014 between Switzerland and the Reunion Island, and has been choreographing her own works since.

PHYSICAL THEATRE WORKSHOP - with Dana Mikhael (Germany/Lebanon) 2018
Around 15 dancers and theatre practitioners attended the workshop which focused on developing the performer’s power, rhythm, presence and complexity by working on core, images and breath. through partnering work, improvisations, Butoh dance and Nogushi Taiso’s release technique.
ABOUT DANA MIKHAEL
Dana Mikhail is a Lebanese/German performer and butoh mover, a graduate in 2010 from the TAK, Germany, with a Diplom-Buehnenreife and the ZAV in Cologne. Since 2006 a member of the Cologne-based collective bodyincrisis.
