DANA MIKHAIL

Dana Mikhail is a Lebanese/German performer and mover.

She graduated with a diploma from the Lebanese Faculty of Fine Arts Beirut and completed her practicum degree in performing arts at TAK (Germany).

She was awarded Best Actress of the Year at the Ifab 2013 for her role of Fadwa in the feature film and Best Movie of the Year Sur Ton Sein, directed by Faraj Aoun.

She participated in Ashkal Alwan’s Home Works 5.

She was part of the Münchner Kammerspiele's Open Border Ensemble, and toured with Sabab Ensemble, Ensemble Integral, Compagnie Parnas and Collectif Kahraba.

She featured in Avignon Festival with Compagnie Le Minotaure and at the Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz with film and theatre director Avo Kaprealian.

She was part of Hell's Gate’s cast, a series directed by Amin Dora for the SHAHID platform.

After the Beirut port explosion, she performed in the demolished Armenia street, along with jazz pianist Marc Ernest in JUDE, a Lebanese adaptation of JAZ by contemporary author Koffi Kwahulé, adapted, directed and produced by Alain Saadeh.

She curated the work of 30 artists from Beirut for ROOM SERVICE DIGITAL 2022, Köln-Beirut edition, produced by the Köln-based ensemble bodyincrisis, to which she belongs since 2006.

In 2022, she directed and produced LEATHERFACE, by contemporary author Helmut Krausser, adapted to the lebanese dialect by Georges Hachem, performed by Dana Dia and Moe Yassine, with the support of the Goethe-Institut Beirut, Mansion, BallRoom Blitz, Neighborhood, Union Marks, InBetween Festival and AFAC at the re-opening of Cinema ROYAL, Burj Hammoud.

She was part of the Allô, Beirut? exhibition in Beit Beirut in 2023.
