Ehab Shaaban born in 1987, is a Syrian actor, graduated from the Acting Department in the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts in Damascus in 2015. He’s performed in CELLO (Cairo International Festival for Experimental Theatre”, Egypt. 2008) and ZERIAB, two plays by Orwa Al Arabi, in “Theatrical Rhythms” a play directed by Diana Kassem ( “Backstreets Festival” in Alexandria, Egypt, 2012), in “THE MARRIAGE OF FIGARO" directed by Samir Ousman AL Bash (Damascus , Beirut 2014) in the title role of Figaro, and lately in DRAMA, directed and adapted by Oussama Ghanam from True West by Sam Shepard (National Theatre of Tunis and Damascus, 2018), in the role of Mihyar (Lee in the original play). He’s acted many TV series and in two short films, BESIEGED BREAD by Soudade Kaadan, 2014 and MOUSHMOSH by Ammar Chebib, 2009 (New York Short Film Festival, 2009).
He performed IN 2018 with Sari Mostafa in INSZIAH, Sunflower theatre, 2018, with Caroline Hatem in both AL BEYT (Carthage Theatre Festival, 2018) and AL ZIFAF (European Theatre Festival in Lebanon, 2019).
In television he’s known for his lead roles in MASSAFET AMAN (Marwan) directed by Laith Hajjo, HARESS EL QODS (Hilarion Cappuci – young) directed by Bassel El Khatib and the Lebanese series “AL AWDE”, all in 2019. More recently, he performed in Sadir Massoud’s QAID MAJHOUL (2021) and AL SAJIN (Lebanon, in production).
